2014 marked the 100th Aniversary of the outbreak of World War 1, what many people forget is that 2200 years ago there was another World War fought between armies from modern day Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, Algeria, Morroco, Greece, Tunisia, Macedonia, Ethiopia and possibly India. This was known as the 2nd Punic War.

Garry has decided to recreate the final battle between Hannibal Barca and Scipio Africanus on the plains of Zama with his latest pavement art project. The Battle of Zama is being created on a canvas 2.6 metres x 5 metres. The figures depicted in the painting are all young men taken from 21st century shopping malls and thrust into Battle.
